Take Back the Public Debate for Educational Reform

WHEREAS, political initiatives have hijacked the national education reform agenda; and

WHEREAS, current political forces have destined this agenda to fail through lack of funding; and

WHEREAS, political ideology is being used to shape the debate on educational reform:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers continue to study and develop ways to take back the public debate for education and educational reform and create a bold agenda for reform and disseminate this information to all locals.
